NEW ADVENTURES
It’s been a long time hopping back in here. Between life with a young infant and a 8 year old….we have been gearing up for new adventures as a family for the last 6 months. It has been a whirlwind to say the least. I’m finally able to catch a breath and share that we …. are not in Singapore and have relocated as a fam to Sydney, and will be here till May 2025! Ta-da!!!!
Why are we here? We are accompanying Jeremy here in Sydney to support our beloved husband and father in the remarkable work he’s doing. As part of his training and work, he’s here and will be joined by a colleague, to train at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Not to bore any one with all the details….but moving a small family is a huge undertaking and a planner’s nightmare when one only has 1 week notice before they fly off…
ALOT has happened since we arrived.. from infant sleep troubles /separation anxiety, finding out we have to enrol our school going kid to school here, and one after another accommodation mishaps….
But finally, I think we are settling down. Getting into a rhythm and will get to enjoy Christmas overseas as a family. Anyone living in Sydney with recommendations on family friendly activities in Sydney and surrounds, please drop me a DM on Insta (@huidesignstudio) ! Artist friends, please recommend art supply stores I should check out!
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Settling down means I can finally concentrate more energy on the design and business side of things in the studio and I can’t wait to share with everyone what has been happening with lots of exciting collaborations behind the scenes! And since Christmas is around the corner, Blessed Christmas one and all!! (sorry, I have no energy left for Christmas Sales here..next year?), But in sweeter news… I’ll finally have the next collection of my pattern library updated and ready by the second week of January 2025!
WE HAVE A DATE!!! RELEASE OF A MORNING BY THE LAKE PATTERN COLLECTION
The Morning by the Lake Pattern Collection will be a mini collection of 3 patterns, inspired by a walk at the Lake a stones throw away from our home in Singapore. Finding little friends called Lake Hens, roaming freely around the lake and an abundance of flora and textures was the spark behind this collection. It felt peaceful, calming and the walk left me in touch with nature and at peace. Patterns will be released 10 January 2025! — Keep your eyes peeled for our launch email and pen to your calendars.
