Kaya Dot Pattern

Kaya Dot Pattern print Abstract pattern for any surface design.
In two colour ways, Pandan green and Sand.

Inspired by pandan, or also known as screwpine, native to Southeast Asia and found around the Dempsey Hill areas. Its scent reminds me of Kaya, a breakfast spread which is popular in Singapore and the region. I remember the times my mom would make homemade Kaya with coconut milk and pandan extract from fresh pandan leaves, and just all that stirring and simmering over a double boil. A traditional Nonya variation is a staple breakfast spread on toast and well loved when paired with butter, which I still enjoy today with my little one.

Created in a dot pattern of abstract kaya dot swatches, the artist envisions this sweet print for children clothes baby rompers and swaddle blankets.
